A blustery day with Kiija and Brent
Kiija (pronounced kye-yah) and Brent are both DC area natives, so the National Mall was a perfect choice for their engagement session. Despite it being a cold grey January day, they brought their own warm sense of humor with them.
Both Kiija and Brent are amateur photographers so we had lots to chat about. Given Kiija’s interest in architecture photography, I incorporated the available landmarks to give their photos a unique personality. The Smithsonian Castle has some lovely red brick which offsets their black wool coats just smashingly.
We found some more wonderful spots of color by using the carousel on the National Mall as a backdrop. The 1960’s structure provides a perfect touch of history and whimsy to their photo session.
And of course, you know by now that I can’t resist a great ring photo. Kiija and Brent were such good sports about taking their coats off for a few plain-clothes shots as well. Thanks for enduring such a cold wintery day with us girls!
